Ally Smith is a local Edinburgh based artist who has always been inspired to paint nature. Ally paints in contemporary bright, bold colours, creating characterful animal studies.

This image of a mother and baby Koala was based on one of Ally's many happy family visits to Edinburgh Zoo, to visit the new joey.
